If it is a fragment consisting of only ONE dependent clause write DEPENDENT. If the sentence contains both an independent AND a dependent write an equation for the order of the clause. Either INDEPENDENT + DEPENDENT= COMPLETE SENTENCE or DEPENDENT + INDEPENDENT= COMPELTE SENTENCE 1. We had to leave the party because the room was too crowded. 2. 4. BELL WORK -THURSDAY  Simple VS compound sentences Identify each sentence below as either simple or compound. REMINDER: a compound sentence has two or more independent clauses joined together but NO dependent clauses.
