This is no unsolvable problem, if we face it wisely and courageously.” – President Franklin Roosevelt Many people got jobs through the Works Process Administration (WPA). Most workers were artists, carpenters and writers who could not find jobs on their own. Michigan had over 200,000 workers in the WPA

23 Men in the CCC worked on projects for the common good. The CCC helped the men and their families. It also helped the businesses that sold supplies to the CCC for projects.
