1 SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 21, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 1 LAT Data taking! Anders W. Borgland Science Verification, Analysis and Calibrations / ISOC

2 SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 21, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 2 Muons! Muons! Muons! We are taking muons! –In addition to a lot of other tests..... Have started night shifts: –Plan is for 12 nights with muons in LAT vertical –Three nights are done already Problem: –Data was/is stuck at the MCR :-( –LAT --> Mobile Computing Rack --> Pipeline --> Ntuples –We think we have a workaround! Well, it didn't work. –NB! This data is not lost! We will try to re-inject three nights worth of data today Preliminary list of runs:

3 SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 21, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 3 Muons! Muons! Muons! Runs list: –Not complete! –Working on filling out the empty fields..... Data features: –Still using ACD Veto of 0.1 MIPs –Periodic trigger has been changed from 10 Hz to 2 Hz: –Remember it has unsuppressed, 4-range readout –I will update the 'Useful things to know about the data quality' page. Bug! –For 6+ weeks it's possible we have been dropping 5 minutes worth of data once in a while...... –Asynchronous to data taking i.e. It could be: –Start of a run –End of a run –Block in the middle of a run Bad news: –RawData files on the MCR are not archived –Disk on MCR cleaned up.... twice: –RawData files deleted –We can never recover any data that was lost! –And if you think it's a good idea to archive the rawdata..... –We are working on changing this.....

4 SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 21, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 4 Summary Data is here! We have been struggling to get it out...... –I hope this is solved now! –This night showed us it isn't. SVAC is seriously overloaded right now: –Things sometimes take a little longer before they are done..... –There are more 'We will do' than 'We have done'. You can help us by looking at the data! –We are currently spending all our time getting the data out to you! –Need you to analyze it! –Yeah, I know: that is difficult todo if we can't get the data out of the MCR.
