4. Indra Tj - D 2422 We use the Simple Past Tense to talk about actions or situations in the past. Very often the Simple Past ends in - ed. e.g. 1. I enjoyed the party very much last night. 2. Mr. Edward died ten years ago. 3. When I lived in Manchester, I worked in a bank.

5. Indra Tj - D 2422 But many important verbs are irregular. This means that the Past simple does not end in -ed. e.g. 1. We all left the party at 11 o’clock. 2. Yesterday I went to London to see a friend of mine.
