11 Purposes 1. To help first-year students adjust to university education 2. To develop a supportive personal network amongst first-year students and senior students 3. To create a warm atmosphere and positive academic culture in the campus 4. To assist first-year students in enhancing their educational experience

12 Major Activities 1. First mentor-mentee meeting, Sat, Aug 16 2. EF/Faculty orientation, Sat, Aug 30 3. Welcoming party, early Sept 4. X'mas/New Year party, semester break

17 Program Information Objective: Broaden students’ horizons and to foster a lifelong reading habit among students. Duration : September to November 2003 (meeting twice a month) Format : Individual / Group (4-8 people) Lead by facilitator (EF teacher) Subsidies : $200 per person
