1 John 1:12, Romans 10:9-10

2 Jn 1: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--

3  John 1:12-14  12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

4  Not born of natural descent - New life doesn’t come from not heredity  Not born of human decision – New life doesn’t come from self effort  Or a husband’s will – New life doesn’t come from someone else’s effort  But Born of God – New life comes from believing in Jesus
