3  Applications are typically small, specialized programs downloaded onto mobile devices.  Nowadays there are more than 500,000 applications (apps) in the Apple store.  Another 200,000 in the Android store.  Apps are not a replacement for pharmacists.  Apps help us to extend our care of patients and teaching of students.
