2 IPad Training Session Three Outline March 10th 12PM to 4Pm Marvin Rm 101A 1.Introductions 2.Overview of Last Session a.Open the floor for questions 3. Adobe Reader Overview and Demonstration Small group activities: a. Stuart Group: Goals, Home work, E –Tips b. Mike’s Group : Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Dictation Apps. c. Cathy’s Group: Objective checklist, Organization Apps and demonstration Break 4. Small group independent search, download, and explain. a.In groups of four or five, search for a common App interest, Download the App on one device, one person from each group will discuss the App chosen. 5. Home work: Go to iPad page on the http://atk.ku.edu website. Six e-tips will be posted. Three in week one. Three in week two. 4 Small group activities: 3 groups of 5 at 30 min for 3 groups each (set timer) 1.Stuart Group: A. Goal –setting: 1. Download and complete online Goal sheet 2. Turn in both Goal sheets Hard copies and E-mail online copy to Stuart Stuart.Jones@Rcilinc.org B. Home work: will receive an email from instructor. Need to read, add an attachment, and respond. 2.Mike’s Group : A. Turning on and off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings 1. Demonstrations of Bluetooth devices. 2. Dictation Apps and IPad features for Voice Over 3. Cathy’s Group: A. Going over check list of skills and assignments B. Organization Apps and Demonstrations

In groups of four or five, search for a common App interest, Download the App on one device, one person from each group will discuss the App chosen. a.Choose a common goal within the group (such as Organization) b. Complete an online search for suitable apps through Google. c. Down Load the App that the group thinks will be usefu. d. Work with the App find some Pros and Cons e.
