5 Sector Skills Councils (SSC)
Set up by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) with active partnership of industry Aim- conduct research related to skill development Role Develop National Occupations Standards Develop training course curriculum & training modules Train the trainers Assessment and certification of trainers and students, in consultation with experts from the respective Industry and Academics The SSC was involved in the Automobile, Retail, IT and Security trades in the pilot phase of the project

6 District Education Officer (DEO)
The DEO acts as the interface between the District/ schools and DSE Execution and implementation of directions issued in the letter to the DEO by the DSE Addressing and Resolving issues of the District Monitoring the program and its implementation Ensure successful implementation and supervision of NVEQF project at District level. Visit schools and monitor the progress on a monthly basis Interact with students and try to access the level of knowledge being imparted to the students. Conduct district level review meetings on monthly basis. Check the NSQF records Maintained at school level (Financial records, Attendance record and other records maintained at school level). Create awareness about NVEQF in different forums Support DCs and VTs in building industry linkages

7 Role of Principals Principals have a very significant role to play in making CSSVE NSQF successful. The fact remains that leadership not only matters but it is second only to teaching school related factors especially with its impact on students learning. Setting directions for integrating NSQF in the main school activities and pursue the same. E.G. Selection of Students, Accommodating Applied Learning/VTs and VCs respectively. Creating awareness about NSQF. Formation of a functional Sub-committee of SMDC, Administrative responsibilities Budget utilization. Influencing students learning such as:- Timetable allocation Students presence in the class rooms Understanding the context of NSQF Empowering staff and taking decisions Their interaction with the Teachers to improve teaching and learning for the applied learning trades.

8 Roles & Responsibilities of Industry & District Coordinators
The Industry & District Coordinator acts as the interface between the District/Schools and DSE Execution and implementation of directions issued from Department. Addressing and Resolving issues of the District. Monitoring the program and its implementation. Ensure successful implementation and supervision of NSQF project at District level. Visit schools and monitor the progress on monthly basis. Interact with students and try to access the level of knowledge being imparted to the students. Check the NSQF records Maintained at school level (Financial records, Attendance record and other records maintained at school level). Create awareness about NSQF in different forums. Support Principals and VTs in building industry linkages.

9 Roles & Responsibilities of Industry & District Coordinators
To ensure that the teaching learning material reaches the school in time and is timely delivered to the students. To ensure students data base is being maintained at school level. To ensure industry visits and guest lectures are being conducted at school level as per the shared guidelines. Assist the schools with quality assurance process of NSQF Project. promote NSQF project development and expansion. Liaison with project related stakeholders to provide an engaging learning experience. Facilitate continuous improvement across all sections of the NSQF. Maintain and timely submission of project Progress reports of the quality indicators of the program on prescribed format as per the approved time lines. Take regular inputs from the students, parents, community leaders and the relevant industry experts for improvement of the program.

10 Roles & Responsibilities of Industry & District Coordinators
Be aware of the NSQF policies and guidelines and share them with Applied Learning teachers, students, parents and community leaders. Maintain regular communications with all key stake holders. To ensure timely availability of books to all the students. To ensure that Principal maintain the data base of NSQF Project. To ensure VTs send weekly update, monthly report of the activities undertaken. To ensure one field visit is being conducted at school level in a quarter. To ensure one Guest lecture is being conducted at school level in a month. To ensure one SMDC meeting is being conducted at school level in a month. To ensure the training of all VTs time to time.

13 Sub Committee of SMDC/SMC
Appointment of Sub Committee Schools are required to constitute a subcommittee under the School Management Development Committee (SMDC) comprising three members from SMDC including the Chairman of the SMDC and three official members - District coordinator/ Parents, Vocational Teacher and the Head of the institution. Membership of Sub committee Chairman of School Management Development Committee Two other members of SMDC – one parent, one community member District Coordinator / Parents Vocational Teacher any one Concerned School Principal as Head of the Institution Subcommittee roles & responsibilities Subcommittee will be responsible for the monitoring the project and the finances. The subcommittee of SMDC will be responsible for granting approval to make the purchases and to ensure that the funds have been utilized as per the guidelines issued by the department. The Subcommittee would review physical infrastructure which includes Vocational classroom, labs and their maintenance. The subcommittee would review the progress of the project against the timelines The subcommittee would review the actual classroom training and the field visits. The subcommittee would give suggestions in the best interest of the students.

To Reach out all the Marginalized and Vulnerable Students who are the potential drop outs To Focus on last 15% segment which does not have access and opportunity to go mainstream. 25 Announcement/Communication of the Mobilization
Once the Location/ School is Identified, it is important to Announce about the Mobilization through School Principal, Pamphlets, Posters, School Notice Board, etc It is also important to Announce the Date/Time of the Mobilization along with the Eligibility Criteria's like interest in taking of VE, willingness to work (after 12th), etc.

26 Arrangement of Logistics
Once the Location, Date/Time of Mobilization is Fixed, It is important to Keep Some Important Items like Registration Forms, Admission forms etc., with the Mobilization Team. It is recommended to complete the arrangements, and the team should visit the Mobilization site in Advance to make sure that everything is in place.

27 Registration Process The Actual Registration
It deals with the Filling of the Registration Forms of everyone who is willing to join the course Giving opportunity to each students

28 Individual Counseling
This is one of the important phase of the Mobilization. Need to explore the reason for taking up this course Explain extra time one has to put to finish the course Explain the assessment plan On the Job Training Vertical mobility Employability and Placement

29 Parents Counseling Not only the Students, the parents/ family members are also be counseled. It gives an opportunity to make the society to participate in the program. The Parents Expectations, Views on the program can be find out at this time. Issues like Extra classes, Assessment, Industry Visit, OJT, Placement, etc should be addressed.

30 Admission Formalities
Once all the steps have been completed satisfactorily, the Applicant officially becomes the Student of Applied Learning Subject by filling the relevant forms, the examination form procedures also to be explained. NSQF forms can be downloaded from the website.
