(runs while people are getting settled and talking) Used one of our monthly meetings as a questions and answers – reviewed SHRM website to review all the benefits of membership to bring awareness. Decided we could turn the chapter around… 7 new board members took over in March 2013 Today: 58 Professional members (31 SHRM members); 10 Student members – for total of 68 members!! Re-building strategy: Re-branding of our chapter as a professional organization and a valuable Dodge County resource for area businesses Reviewed and updated bylaws Increased our membership rates (discount for SHRM members) Created a Membership Brochure ** Updated our membership application Chapter Success Story SHRM – Dodge County :: Beaver Dam, WI

13 ©SHRM 2014 13 ©SHRM 2014 Planned a Membership Drive in September 2013  Scheduled our entire 2013-2014 monthly program schedule, with speakers, prior to the Membership Drive!  Applied for HRCI credits for all monthly programs  Marketed the membership drive ** – local paper, chamber newsletters, word of mouth, email blasts and mailings to local businesses and at-large members  Membership Drive 2013: o Door prizes, including national SHRM membership! o Food and drink tickets! o Chapter Banner and pens with logo o SHRM and SHRM – Dodge County information booth o Board of Directors – information and bio sheets o Program Schedule for 2013-2014 ** o LinkedIn Photo Booth o All Board members attended – chapter polo shirts **Most positive feedback!
