Lev. 23:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations… Cf. Josh. 5:10-12…Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho. And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day…the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had…Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

Lev. 23: 9 cf. 23 Both Called "Firstfruits" Lev. 23:10, 17 cf. I Cor. 15:20, 23 cf. Jas. 1:18 Both Committed to God by the act of Waving. Lev. 23:11, 20 cf. Rom. 8:11 Both Celebrated on the “same” Day - on the morrow after the sabbath Lev. 23:11, 16; Col. 2:16f Christ rose again on the First Day of the Week; Church founded on the Fiftieth Day.Mt. 28:1; Acts 2:1 James 1:18 Of His own will begat He us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures Colossians 2:16-17 (NRSV) Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
