1 About the Mayfly An average mayfly have four transparent-like wings These wings help mayflies fly around the pond where they live These insects will actually mate while flying.

2 The Mayfly’s Diet The mayflies diet mostly consists of small plants, small animals, and organic debris. Mayflies only eat when they are larvae. When they are adults they don’t eat, there only task is to mate.

3 The Mayfly’s Habitat Mayflies usually live around ponds. They will feed on all the small plants and animals that live in these areas. When they are adults, they only fly around, mate, then die.
