8.  Empowering War Victims (EWV) is a non- governmental, non-religious, non-military and non-profitable organization based in Syracuse, New York. EWV projects are aimed at improving the lives of disabled government security forces and their families, as well as the families of deceased members of the security forces in Afghanistan. EWV strives to empower these people so that they can improve their own futures through mental rehabilitation, job creation, and job training.
