5 Our interactive journalism master’s degree program - A 10-month intensive collaboration that immerses graduate fellows in Web 2.0 technologies - Introduces them to environmental issues of the West - Creates a form of journalism as democratic practice

6 Our interactive news laboratory: Lake Tahoe - A national treasure facing serious environmental questions. - Surrounding communities are fragmented and poorly served by existing media. - The University of Nevada has substantial resources devoted to environmental issues at Tahoe.
