Photoacoustic Multi-gas Monitor 1312

1312, page 2 Photoacoustic Multi-gas Monitor 1312 Portable monitor for quantitative analysis of up to 5 gases and water vapour. Available in 1-, 2- and 5-gas version. Detection limits in the ppb range. Dynamic range up to x100.000. Versatile - adjustable measurement time/sample volume. Accurate - compensates for temperature fluctuations, water vapour interference and interference from other known gases. High stability - infrequent calibration. WIN software included.

1312, page 3 Instrument Facilities Stores 5 different calibrations (gases) for each optical filter - in separate memories (filter banks). Built-in Memory, can be divided in 10 separate locations. Stores 12 days of measurements (5 gases + water vapour, sample every 10 min.). User defined alarm limits - independent for each gas. Regular self-tests of all vital parameters, ensures reliable results. Errors reported in error log for easy trouble-shooting. RS-232 and IEEE488 interface - for connection to PC or printer - enables direct export of data to PC - or direct printing of measurements.

1312, page 5 Optical Filters 26 optical filters, covering the Infrared region of interest. Optical filter to measure water vapour always installed. 5 positions available for installing optical filters for specific gases. Compensation for interference, by simultaneous measurement of gas and interference.

1312, page 6 Cross-compensation S A = a 1,A x c 1 + a 2,A x c 2 + a 3,A x c 3 S B = a 1,B x c 1 + a 2,B x c 2 + a 3,B x c 3 S C = a 1,C x c 1 + a 2,C x c 2 + a 3,C x c 3 Where: S N is Microphone signal measuring with Filter N. a 1,N is absorption of gas 1 on Filter N. C 1 is concentration of gas 1. Gas1 Gas 2 Gas 3 Filter AFilter BFilter C

1312, page 7 Special Features in 1312 Detection and sampling – Optimised measurement sequence for short Response Time. – Improved detection limits with variable Sample Integration Time (S.I.T.). Adjustable Flushing sequence – Low sample volume/ Fast Response. – Thorough flushing for accurate results.
