5 EXERCISE and SPORT SCIENCE  What does a Sport Scientist do? - Tests & maximises athletic performance - Evaluates an athlete’s biomechanical and physiological boundaries - Provides general health and fitness screening - Reduces injury risk - Provides exercise therapy for rehabilitation purposes - Optimises Skills

7 Where are our graduates? Troy Flanagan is now Head of Sport Science for the USA Winter Olympic team. He graduated in 1995

9 Graduate Profile  Adam Basil completed a Human Movement degree and fieldwork.  He is now employed by the Melbourne Victory Football Club.  As Head of Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation, Adam implements strength, speed and agility, and flexibility programs; as well as specialised rehabilitation for injured players.

10 Graduate Profile  Damien completed a VIS traineeship through his Human Movement degree fieldwork.  This led to his current employment as Sports Science Coordinator with Bowls Australia.
