All the archives are obtained from official holders/producers under legal agreements. Retrospective coverage for most holdings - 1992. Regular update.  The technology for automatic linguistic text processing has been designed and implemented under the project. Provides for holdings content-based integration and cross- search.  Search engine includes thesaurus; several systems of subject headings; bilingual search. Informers-based navigation and query refinement.  Value-added services for assisting research.  Subject-oriented modules.  Free access on registration. Data available at federal, regional, local levels;  Households level statistics for 46 regions in relational database;  Links to the Methodological Notes and Glossary for statistics;  Subject-oriented modules - databases and knowledge products;  Graphics- and maps-based data representation ;  Annotation/short summary complementing each full text document;  Annotation/short summary in Russian complimenting text in English;  Archives and databases in English available with interface and an informer (table of content) in Russian;  User-tailored information update.

9 Social and Economic Statistics  All main publications of Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat). Annual, quarterly, monthly editions since 1996. 100 000 tables, 14 000 graphs and illustrations;  Methodological Notes and Glossary are accessible from each table;  Digital copy in HTML format of Rosstat editions’ printed versions;  Statistics on regions/municipalities - in relational database. 1500 indicators in database;  Graphics- and maps-based data representation;  Knowledge products – government agencies and think tanks reports, academic publications - available for content- based retrieval, exploiting thesaurus and systems of subject headings;  Ontology on “public administration” domain is under construction.

12 Database to integrate budget and socio-economic statistics of regions and municipalities  Incorporates statistics of Rosstat and Ministry of Finance since 1998;  Includes 1500+ socio-economic and 14 000+ budgetary series;  Indicators are grouped into 4 sections: budgetary revenues, budgetary expenditures, deficit, socio- economic statistics;  Value-added services provides for search of indicators, tables designer, maps;  Graph plotting on the base of TeeChart software and new variables computation are coming soon.

17 National Survey of Households Well- being and Participation in Social Programs (NOBUS)  Took place in 2003. Made by Rosstat and World Bank  45 thousand households in 46 regions (of 88 regions).  227 variables in 13 sections (general information; household description; marital status and education; labor; pensions; allowances; health; social care; housing; household plots; revenues; expenditures).

23 In Prospect:  Integration of NOBUS with Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey and development of full archive of national surveys and census;  On-line procedures to compute new variables, cross-tabulations, frequencies;  Map and graph services in NOBUS and Database;  New sets of socio-economic statistics in database – monthly and quarterly statistics, federal level data.
