15 Work Programme for AREP National Outcome 10 Review rural transport issues in relation to access to services and present recommendations to Partnership Promote and encourage the audit for Council owned open space in Angus Liaise with Strategic Planning Authority in relation to relevant development issues within Tayplan Review designated Conservation Areas in Angus Liaise with Brechin THI Project in relation to environmental improvement in Brechin

16 Work Programme for AREP National Outcome 12 Raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and the duty on public agencies and their offices to further the conservation of biodiversity Promote biodiversity enhancement across partner agencies in relation to estate management Implement management plan for the River South Esk Produce an Environmental Profile for Angus with key indicators Reduce wildlife crime across Angus

17 Work Programme for AREP National Outcome 14 Promote and co-ordinate adaptation and mitigation measures in relation to climate change in Angus through partner agencies strategies and action plans –Sustainable Travel –Estate Management –Alternative Energy Sources –Waste Reduction –Service-led surveys –Woodland management and expansion

18 AREP SOA NO 14 AREP Key Priority Local Outcomes, Indicators & Targets Neighbourhood Services Indicators, Targets and Delivery Actions Partner Agencies (NHS Tayside, Police, Fire & Rescue) Waste Mgt Plans National Outcome: We reduce the local and global environmental impact of our consumption and production Local Indicators: % of households with recycling boxes Scotland’s Zero Waste Plan 70% recycled by 2025 SOA Indicator - Proportion of municipal waste recycled or composted Local Indicators: Total tonnes collected Local Outcome: The carbon and ecological footprints of Angus are reduced
