2 Have you ever heard of festivals or even ceremonies? Well if you have been to a wedding, you have been to a ceremony. One of the Chinese festivals is Chinese New Year. It’s the most important. There is the Chinese boat festival, and the age ceremony. Do you want to learn about it? Then read this book.

3 Chinese New Year Chinese New Year is one of the most special and one of the most important festival for the Chinese. Another thing to call Chinese New Year is the spring festival. On Chinese New Year kids get red evolves with money inside them. They get it for a good luck new year. They celebrate Chinese New Year because it brings the family to a good start. And a good luck year.

4 Chinese Dragon Festival Have you ever heard that a dragon is one of Chinas favorite animals? On Chinese Dragon festival revolves around the sport of Dragon boat racing. You can sign up to race. And on that special day all they only celebrate is dragons because its China’s favorite animal. Dragon boat racing is when people go in boats that are decorated by dragons and they go in boats and race each other.

5 Age Ceremonies Age Ceremonies is celebrating the day they became adults. Tridishonily Chinese men became adults at the age of 20 at the capping ceremony. Woman became adults at the age of 15 at the hairpin ceremony. And both ceremonies were traditional in ancient China.

6 Lantern Festival Have you ever heard of lantern festival? It’s a festival they do at night in the dark. They do not put on any light. The only thing they use for light is lanterns. And the lanterns they use are cool ones with dragons on them. Everyone gets only one lantern, to be fair. They celebrate that they have light. And they are very lucky to have lanterns.

7 Did you learn a lot? Are you going to celebrate Chinese New Year? And are you going to sign up to race on lantern festival and not use light just use lanterns? Maybe you should, it will be really fun!
