2  The Michigan Department of Education and Measured Progress are in the third year (2010-11) of providing professional development for formative assessment coaches and their learning teams.

3 Since our first year, we have had the participation of approximately 100 coaches and nearly 900 educators as a part of learning teams. 100 coaches and nearly 900 educators as a part of learning teams.

4  The Formative Assessment Process offers educators meaningful opportunities to explore classroom instructional practices and to provide intentional feedback to our students to increase learning.

9  Meets at least 4 hours per month  Tries new FA strategies in their classrooms  Shares experiences  Provides feedback

12  Attend team launch  Attend team meetings  Be open to trying new strategies in their classrooms  Be willing to be open about their teaching experiences, both good and bad  Be able to provide feedback to team members
