4 RTW Program Benefits Education and Business  Recognizes the needs of the business community for better prepared employees.  Develops educator and business partnerships to prepare students for the 21 st century workforce.  Provides a tool to align student skill development and training to employer requested work skills.  Identifies gaps between student employability skills and employer needs; thus, allowing for school-based curriculum revisions.  Employers and educators can be more confident that students have the skills necessary for successful job performance.

10 Target CTE programs provide students with 21 st century work skills through employment related instruction and on-the-job training supervised by an employer and teacher. Juniors and Seniors entering the workforce directly after high school must provide evidence that they are prepared with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace. 14 Instructors provide students with targeted instruction through the identified CTE program frameworks and skill development using the self- paced, online WIN program. 15 Skill development for juniors and seniors NOT enrolled in the target CTE programs occurs through the school-based Career Connection Facilitator (students identified through guidance). The Career Connection Coach is utilized to test identified juniors and seniors during the months of December, April and May. 19 Use your RTW Project Coordinator! New technology can be SCARY thus, multiple staff developments and hands-on support are necessary.
