4 Q: Who needs to write annual reports? A: Anyone with an active 319 Grant. Q: What time frame do these reports cover? A: The Fiscal year- July 1 st -June 30 th. Q: If you have not spent any funding during the fiscal year do still need to submit an annual report? A: Yes Q: What does the annual Report consist of? A: Load reductions for projects that were implemented during the year. A: A summary of all projects implemented during the year. Q: When are annual reports due and to who? A: August 31st Annual Reports

5  You will need to know the life expectancy of each practice installed.  You will need to know how much of a particular practice was installed (i.e how many feet of fence, How many feet of pipe).  You may simply update the report from the previous just make sure you highlight the things you added to the report. 6 Q: When are watershed coordinator reports due? A: August 31 st Q: What is the purpose of watershed coordinator reports? A: They are used for: The annual NPS program report. They are used to write the annual and final report for the watershed coordinator grants that pay salaries. They give you a chance to justify your position. Watershed Coordinator Reports

7  Be sure to give a summary of all project that were implemented over the year. Include:  The load reductions for each project  All funding sources used to implement the projects  A summary of all projects that are also under contract, but may not be completed.  What outreach projects did you conduct?  Management of watershed groups. 8 Q: When do you need to submit a final report? A: When all funds have been expended from a grant, or when the grant has expired. Q: How soon after a grant has been spent out do you need to have a final report submitted to DEQ? EPA? A: DEQ- 60 days A: EPA 90 Days Q: What is an interim final report and when would you submit one? A: An interim final report would be submitted when a project has been funded by multiple adjacent funding year? Q: Why are Interim final reports so great? A: Because after the initial report you just have to update the previous year’s report with the current information. Final/ Interim Reports

9  You will need to follow the EPA grant reporting format.  You will need load reductions/ monitoring data.  Pictures are always helpful.  Check your budget tables.  You will need to give a description of how funds were spent on each task.  Document your match. Final Reports
