To ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on state achievement standards and state assessments. To provide extra educational assistance beyond the regular classroom.

4 What Are the Requirements Under Title I? Involve parents  Workshops, volunteering, resources, communication, etc. Support the students  High quality curriculum  Effective learning environment  Extra assistance

5 How Does Oak Grove Receive Funding? We receive funding based on our free and reduced lunch program. However, funds are used to close the gap of areas of academic concern for students of all socio-economic background.

6 What Does Targeted Assistance Mean? Schools that receive Title I funds may operate a targeted assistance program or a school wide program. A school wide program must have at least 40% of their total population receiving free and/or reduced lunch. Total population includes enrolled students, home schooled and private school population within the school community. OG has a targeted assistance Title I program because we have less than 40% of our total population receiving free and/or reduced lunch. A targeted assistance school must focus its services on children identified as needing academic support through the multiple selection criteria.
