We believe the Scriptures teach that the Law of God is the eternal and unchangeable rule of his moral government; that it is holy, just and good; and that the inability which the Scriptures ascribe to fallen men to fulfill its precepts, arise entirely from their love of sin; to deliver them from which, and to restore them through a Mediator to unfeigned obedience to the holy Law, is one great end of the Gospel, and of the Means of Grace connected with the establishment of the visible church. Romans 7:12 “Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.” Romans 7:7 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet." Romans 7:14 “For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.” Romans 7:22 “For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.” Galatians 3:21 “Is the law then against the promises of God?
