7 100 Points 1. Detailed power point presentation with 5-10 slides providing information on your Pittsburgh Topic. 2. Eight to twelve sentence “ACED” paragraph about your Pittsburgh Topic. 3. A two to five minute presentation on your topic. NO EXCEPTIONS: the presentation must be between TWO to FIVE minutes!

14 Your Individual Project! 100 points This will be completed on your own time outside of school. You will pick something you enjoy doing and relate it to a topic about Pittsburgh. You will turn in your idea on April 19th. You will present your individual project on May 7th.

15 If you like to write! Write a newspaper article about anything related w/ Pittsburgh. Create an editorial about the new arena. Create a visitors brochure. Write a paper about the pros and cons about gambling in Pittsburgh.

16 If you like music! Write a ‘jingle” for a Pittsburgh product. Research famous musicians/bands from Pittsburgh. You perform a song from a famous Pittsburgh musician.

17 If you like to paint/draw! Sketch the sky line. Draw/paint a specific building in Pittsburgh. Create a project of a movie filmed in Pittsburgh. Draw/paint a portrait of a famous person from here. Design a project on the different inventions in Pittsburgh.

18 If you like to perform! Create a commercial for a Pittsburgh company. Perform a re-enactment of a specific incident in Pittsburgh history. Design/perform a newscast of a memorable event from Pittsburgh’s history.

19 If you like math/computers! Explain the structural design of a building in Pittsburgh. Make a graph & presentation of the ethnic backgrounds of Pittsburgh. Explain how math makes the inclines work and create your own. Falling Water

20 If you like science! Design a taste test for Pittsburgh foods. Research the Three Rivers and make a presentation about their history and importance.

21 Individual Project: Ideas Miscellaneous Make a recipe book of Pittsburgh foods. Make a photo album of the city of Pittsburgh. Create a model of the city. Make a news report of rush hour with a map of all the roads around Pittsburgh. If your idea is not listed, approach a team teacher about it.
