4 R – What is Rural? In small groups discuss your experiences and understanding of Rural List the key word and phrases

5 “In, relating to, or characteristic of the countryside rather than the town” (Oxford English Dictionary Wherever possible, the Rural-Urban Classification is used to distinguish rural and urban areas. The Classification defines areas as rural if they fall outside of settlements with more than 10,000 resident population. (DEFRA) Rural isolation is the feelings of powerlessness and disconnection experienced by individuals or groups as a consequence of living in a rural area.

Partners In public and private sector to grow sport in disadvantaged areas
