2 The tower of London It’s a norman castle built by William the Conqueror in the eleventh century it was a fortress and a famous prison.

3 The Houses of Parliament It was built in the XI century and many Kings lived here up to King Henry VIII.It was destroyed by a great fire in 1834 during the reign of Queen Victory and it was rebuilt in gothic style.

4 Buckingham Palace It was rebuilt in 1702 and it is the residence of the Queen. In the place there are 600 rooms.

5 St Paul’s Cathedral It was rebuilt after the great fire which burnt London in 1666.Sir Cristhoper Wren is the architect who wanted to create the second largest dome after that of the Vatican.

6 Westminster Abbey It was rebuilt around the 1045 and it is a masterpiece of gothic art.

7 Trafalgar Square It commemorates the victory of Lord Nelson against Napoleon in the battle of Trafalgar in 1830.

8 The London Eye Is the highest panoramic wheel in Europe and it is m 135 high. It was opened by the prime minister (Tony Blair) in 1999.

9 The Globe Theatre It was one of first theatre in London and where Shakespeare performed his Plays.
