11. Homework Science homework is most often unfinished class work or makeup work from absences. If your child is spending more than 20 minutes on science homework, please contact your child’s teacher. If this is the case, your child may be experiencing difficulty with the subject matter, or not using class time wisely. Homework Club will be available in the library before and after school. (7:15-7:35 and 2:50-3:30) Tutoring will be available by appointment.

12. Grading Policy To better prepare students for middle school, grading policy for sixth graders is based on the average of major and minor grades. 50% of a students grade will be minor grades and 50% will be major grades. Minor grades consist of formative activities such as class work, class participation, and minor labs. Major grades consist of summative activities, such as major labs, tests, and projects.
