Planning and implementing a training program and course of study in accordance with the mission, purposes and objectives of the Lay Organization. Training Education AND Of ALL Laity in the 8th Episcopal District

History of the AME Church Constitution and By – Laws Legislative Events Duties and Responsibilities of Officers

5 How do we accomplish this?

6 Establish a viable network of communication between
Directors of Lay Activities on ALL levels.

7 Conduct training retreats in Mississippi And Louisiana for Directors of Lay Activities on all levels.

8 DoLAs will come together and devise educational modules paralleling the mission and focus of the Lay organization. DoLAs will receive training on how to effectively conduct workshops to facilitate implementation of the training received during the retreats. Lay Presidents ON ALL LEVELS are encouraged to allow time for the Director of Lay Activities to conduct workshops during meetings...

9 Youth and Young Adults

10 Adults in all Activities of the Lay Organization
Work with the Young Adult Representatives to establish training and educational modules that will encourage participation from youth and young adults in the church Encourage Lay Organizations to implement these modules and include Youth and Young Adults in all Activities of the Lay Organization Encourage the Lay Organization to become a visible participant and supporter in the activities of the Youth and Young Adults in the Church
