5 The birth of our organization was unplanned and unexpected August 22, 2008

6 In just 4 years, we have achieved solid victories and become a key player and point of reference in education debates. We were the first to suggest scholarships for students studying pedagogy. We were the first to propose increases to the Preferential Educational Subsidy. We improved the salaries, responsibilities, and hiring process of school administrators. We achieved a US$ 300 million increase in funding for public education.

7 In just 4 years, we have achieved solid victories and become a key player and point of reference in education debates. We set in motion a discussion about the importance of preschool education, and its budget has subsequently been increased. We blocked or modified legislation that we perceived as inadequate. We have done fieldwork, helping municipalities with education management. ……… and much more

11 This also has political and financial costs.... And we have learned through trial and error that not everything is as rosy as it might first seem. We are a well-respected organization with an INDEPENDENT VOICE regarding topics concerning education for all political sectors and for all citizens.
