2 The London Eye The world's highest observation. As you rise to an incredible 135 metres above the River Thames, the 30 minute rotation provides stunning panoramic views of the city and reveals parts of London which are simply not visible from the ground. Each capsule is fully enclosed, air-conditioned and holds up to 25 passengers.

3 Tower of London Founded in 1066-7, today the Tower of London is one of the world's most famous and spectacular fortresses and home to the Crown Jewels.

4 The crown jewels The most famous exhibits in the Tower of London are the Crown Jewels. Finest of all is the Royal Sceptre, containing the world's largest cut diamond, the 530 carat Star of Africa. The Imperial State Crown, made for Queen Victoria in 1837 and worn today by Queen Elizabeth II when she opens Parliament is studded with 3,000 jewels

5 The Tower Bridge Tower Bridge has stood over the River Thames in London since 1894 and is one of the finest, most recognisable bridges in the World.

6 Madame Tussaud’s At Madame Tussaud’s you will experience what it is like to be famous as you join a host of the world’s hottest celebrities Sing, dance and perform with Beyonce, Britney, and Kylie.

7 London Zoo London Zoo is the perfect day out for the whole family. Visit the new exhibit 'Into Africa' where you will come eye to eye with some of Africa's most unusual animals including Giraffes, Zebras and African hunting dogs. Enter Butterfly Paradise; where you'll have the chance to enjoy the beauty of butterflies as they fly around you.

8 Buses The double-decker buses, which dominate the urban public transport in London where the red bus is even a tourists' attraction. The history of double-deckers seems to date back to the 19th century, when the horse- drawn omnibuses had seats on the roof.

9 Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace is the official London home of The Queen and was built in 1702. Around 300 people work at the Palace

10 Guards The traditional changing of the guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

11 Big Ben Big Ben is the name for the bell in the Clock Tower. Big Ben first rang in July 1859. No-one knows the exact origins of the name 'Big Ben'

12 River Thames The River Thames has always been of major importance to the City of London. It provided water and a means of transportation and communication. The first bridge across the river was built by the Romans.
