3 There is all different kinds of crabs but I'm going to tell you about my favorite the hermit crab. I'm going to tell you about what they eat, fun facts, there adaptations/ special parts or behaviors and where hermit crabs usually live.

4 OUCH! That’s the sound of a person that’s on the beach that just got clawed by a crab well my crab, the hermit crab can break two pencils at ounce. That’s a fun fact. I am going to tell you some more fun facts, one is that a hermit crab is pray to a monkey. Another one is when a hermit crab lays its eggs a month later they will turn orange that means they will soon hatch. Some more are hermit crabs can live to 6-15 years bout many only live for 6-12 months. Hermit crabs have 5 pairs of legs this means they have 10 legs there second and third pair are for walking and the others are not the hermit crabs relatives are spiders and lobsters. Those are all the fun facts I'm going to share with you.

5 Now, Im going to tell where hermit crabs usually live there is not very many. But when a hermit crabs is kept as a pet they live in a regular cage when a hermit crab lives in the nature it lives in the ocean. They can also sometimes they can live under tree roots,leaves, burrows, and rocks.

6 Finally, I'm going to tell you what hermit crabs like to eat. Hermit crabs eat plants and little animals that means there omnivores. When you have a hermit crab as a pet you feed it fruit or you go to the pet store and get hermit crab food. they also eat apples, grapes, cheese, staek, meat balls.

7 Last but not least I'm going to tell you there adaptations/special parts or behaviors!!! One special part is there shell, the shell is for the crab to hide from there predators it also protects there soft body. If hermit crab is sticking out of its shell and you put your finger by its face it will get scared and go in its shell. The hermit crabs antennas help them, the longer outer pair helps touch and feel the inner bent part is to taste and smell.
