7 Edu.Glogs in Language Arts “I recently used Glogster in my classroom to allow students to display a short, descriptive paragraph before we embarked on a long narrative. I wanted my students to be able to describe a place to create a setting, usually essential for a great narrative. “Glogster http://nctesecondary.blogspot.com/2010/01/g logging-not-blogging.html My language arts classes made glogs for the last book they read. I gave them a rubric with everything that needed to be included. http://thereadingzone. wordpress.com/2010/ 01/05/using-glogster- in-the-classroom/

11 WWW.GLOGSTER.COM/EDU Tips for Great Glogs Gather all your research information first, before you start! Choose a wall or background for your glog but don’t make it too “busy” or it will detract from your poster. Select text boxes and type your research information into several text boxes, dividing it into categories according to the topics you are researching. Select graphics from Glogster, import your own images from your own pictures or from Creative Commons or Flickr Creative Commons to illustrate your topic. You can also try Google Images, but make sure all your pictures are copyright-free.Creative Commons Flickr Creative CommonsGoogle Images Add sound or video if you are brave!
