1 What do I do in the Foreign Language Lab?  While you are scanned in at the Skills Center, you may work only on your Spanish lab assignments.  Your main assignment will come from the online language lab component, CENTRO. NOTE: Individual Assignments may vary depending on your instructor. !Bienvenidos!

3 What is CENTRO ? Centro is the online format for your Spanish lab requirement and can include a Lab Manual and/or Workbook component. The Centro site has incorporated all the different features available for your lab component including  Conversation & Dialogue  Vocabulary Improvement  Grammar improvement  Cultural Enrichment with video interactions The CENTRO website is accessible at www.mhcentro.com www.mhcentro.com

4 To access CENTRO you must first register at www.mhcentro.com STEP 1 – CREATE AN ACCOUNT 1)Go to www.mhcentro.comwww.mhcentro.com 2)If you do not have a CENTRO Account, click “Create an account” NOTE: If you already have an existing Quia Account, Login and follow from step 3. Accessing Your Lab Work

5 STEP 2 – Create User Info and Log In Create a username & password by completing the form and clicking Submit. Remember Your Password! Students must have 2 items for STEP 3: Book Key : Packaged with new textbook or purchased separately through CENTRO Online Bookstore Course Code : Provided by the instructor NOTE: If you are registering for more than one component of Centro, you will need a Book Key for each section you are registering for.

6 STEP 3: Enter your Book Key Info 1. Type in Book key 2. Click Go Book Content is now loaded into your account, & shown here. STEP 4: Enter your Course Code 1.Type in Course Code (provided by your instructor) 2.Click Go

7 STEP 5: Select your Class Info. 1.Select your class section 2.click Submit Additional books required (if any) by your instructor will be displayed with “Enter book key”. For the Skills Center Foreign Language Lab you will use the: online laboratory manual and/or online workbook.

8 NOTE: Book Content loaded into your account is shown with a picture of the book. STEP 6: Add Additional Materials 1.Enter applicable Book Keys or purchase Book Keys online (if necessary) STEP 7: Access your Materials 1.Select any newly loaded book to work on by clicking on its book cover or book title.

9 Only the books you have loaded onto your account and its supplemental material will appear on the navigation tabs. STEP 1: Choose An Area to Work In To navigate within the Lab Manual, use the navigation panel. Click on desired chapter title to begin. NOTE: You may navigate to any resource by using the Navigation Tabs or My Tools. Beginning Your Lab Work

10 STEP 2: Click desired activity title to begin exercise. STEP 3: For Audio Exercises 1.click speaker icon 2.complete exercise 3.click Submit Answers.

11 Ask an Instructional Assistant! Make an appointment with a Spanish tutor in the Tutoring Center Ask to borrow a Spanish Dictionary Need Assistance?
