Snøhvit in GDF SUEZ E&P Norge portfolio License and ownership Awarded 1981 and discovered 1984 Statoil: 36,79% (Operator) GDF SUEZ: 12,00% (M&A 2001) Partners: RWE Dea, Total, Petoro Key milestones Unitized July 2000 PDO approval March MSm 3 oe Production start-up September 2007

Learning as an active partner in Snøhvit Unit Reservoir management of CO 2 content Increased Recovery by compression stages Well planning and drilling (exploration and development) Production infill drilling CO 2 injection Seismic / Geophysical activities Multiple 3D streamer data CSEM survey Gravity survey Ocean Bottom Cable 4D Seismic

GDF SUEZ Exploration drilling in the Barents Sea: from non-operated Near Field to operated Frontier GDF SUEZ acquires 12% in Snøhvit Unit Focus on Snøhvit Near Field exploration for a potential Train 2 Operatorship and Frontier Heilo well 7124/4-1S Byrkje well 7218/ exploration wells (wildcats) drilled since 1980 Exploration revitalized since 2011

Learnings from Operated wells in Barents Sea Good HSE performance: No High potential incidents, spills or serious personnel injuries Good overall operation: low NPT and good operational progress Majority of WOW due to Polar lows and winter weather conditions Dynamic positioning of rig in both drilling operations – no issues Transocean Barents drilled both prospects. Logistically challenging Careful planning resulted in no hiccups. Lots of trucks continuously on the road. Good control on backup equipment. Cooperation Positive and active experience sharing between Barents Sea operators Byrkje well 7218/8-1 Heilo well 7124/4-1S

Oil spill response plan – Heilo PL 530 Heilo located relatively close to shore Oil drift simulations showed probability of oil stranding in areas with valuable natural recourses (NOFO example areas) High attention to the emergency plans for the acute phase and the coast and shoreline The emergency plan concept Acute Strategy Oil Spill Preparedness (ASO) was established to ensure robust and user-friendly oil spill preparedness plans for the personnel performing oil spill clean- up activities in the coast- and shoreline 8 NOFO example areas within Heilo’s influence area. NOFO example areas are predefined areas that are located in the outer coastal zone and hold a large number of environmental prioritized areas and (or) areas that are challenging with respect to an oil spill emergency preparedness situation. The dimensioning NOFO example areas for Heilo were Gjesværtappan, Nordkinn, Hjelmsøy and Nordkinn.

Oil Spill Preparedness - Heilo PL GDF SUEZ and NOFO arranged a two day oil spill exercise with focus on coast and shoreline Various stakeholders who would be involved in any oil spill operation from the Heilo location participated in the exercise. Summary of Oil Spill Preparedness - Heilo Barrier 1 – Combat open sea close to source Response timeFirst system within 3 hours. Fully mobilized within 24 hours Number of systems* 3 Barrier 2 – Combat open sea Response timeFully mobilized within 46 hours Number of systems1 (autumn) 2 (winter) Barrier 3 – Combat coast- and shore zone Response timeFully mobilized within 3,9 days Number of systems4 coastal systems with a capacity of 120 m3/d, or a combination of e.g. 3 coastal systems and one fjord systems with capacity of 17 m3/d * each system includes an Oil spill recovery (OR) vessel + a tug vessel

Byrkje, PL607 Deep sea sponge aggregations High focus on potential presence of corals and sponges which might be affected by petroleum activity The presence of deep sea sponge aggregations was visually mapped during two surveys in 2012 at Byrkje The data collected was then analysed and calibrated to againts criteria defined as “Deep sea sponge aggregations” A spread study (DREAM) and sponge risk assessment was carried out for the planned discharges offshore and used as a decision support in the planning phase of a drilling campaign. Monitoring of drill discharges, focusing on the spread and the effects on the deep sea sponge community present was carried out before, during and after the drilling campaign. 10
