5 She truly rose to the occasion & was a tremendous help. She provided transportation with her personal assistants to several impoverished areas. She also traveled with us to distribute aid & clown around. Fabiola Rizo, the vice- president’s wife, came to the rescue & got the container out of customs for us in no time! 10 Visiting The Village of Las Flores A large percentage of children here are born with birth defects… Possibly from Pesticides This little boy had a severe cleft-palate & was unable to eat normally. It worked out for a team of plastic surgeons to operate on him & he’s now a normal boy. Dr. Heiman at work

12 A HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN IN DIRIAMBA “La Antorcha” (The Torch) is a home for children & teenagers with special needs. One of their programs is to give these kids vocational training so they can learn to make a living & be productive.
