If you have multiple singers on stage with wired microphones you would need to run out a multicore, if you are using Radio Mics these can be patched in at the desk saving time in running a multicore and extra cables. DISADVANTAGES: Radio frequency's, so there can be any interference at any point They are battery powered so they can run out at any point Certain channels need to be licensed, so you have to buy a licence to be used More fragile than sm58, etc. More expensive per unit (M3)
