4. On the emblem of Darkemen one can see a black eagle on the background of three silver hills. Our town is situated between three hills on the both banks of the Angrapa river.

5. In the 18th century Darkemen became one of the most developed towns of the region. The bridge spanning both sides of the river, the mill and even the electric power station were built here. The town was famous by its horse yards.
