FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY RATING SYSTEM OF TEXAS (FIRST) We received credit for all indicators. We received a perfect score and a rating of Superior Achievement, the highest rating possible.
AYP UNDER THE ACCOUNTABILITY PROVISIONS IN THE NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND (NCLB) ACT, ALL PUBLIC SCHOOL CAMPUSES, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND THE STATE ARE EVALUATED FOR ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS (AYP). DISTRICTS, CAMPUSES, AND THE STATE ARE REQUIRED TO MEET AYP CRITERIA ON THREE MEASURES: READING/LANGUAGE ARTS, MATHEMATICS, AND EITHER GRADUATION RATE (FOR HIGH SCHOOLS AND DISTRICTS) OR ATTENDANCE RATE (FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE/JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS). AYP RESULTS HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED AT THIS POINT.
2012-2013 PBMAS THE PERFORMANCE BASED MONITORING SYSTEM EVALUATES OUR CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY, BI- LINGUAL AND SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS ON MANY CRITERIA. YOU RECEIVE AN INDICATOR IF THERE IS TOO LARGE OF A DISCREPANCY IN YOUR SCORES AND THE STATE EXPECTATION. WE RECEIVED CITATIONS ON THREE AREAS: SPED PASSING RATES AT TAKS EQUIVALENCY IN MATH AND READING (2) SPED STAAR MODIFIED PARTICIPATION RATE(1) HISPANIC SPED REPRESENTATION (1)
