2 Our Purpose Today To outline the Million Donors Choose project design To explain how we gathered and analyzed information To present our analysis to date To suggest how the project will expand over time To identify and help resolve technical challenges To invite ideas, questions and suggestions from PCFOs and LFCCs 2012 Combined Federal Campaign Training Conference

3 Project Objectives To move beyond anecdote and understand the CFC through the analysis of data To help campaigns share experience and best practices To support OPM in its shaping of policy To find ways to engage donors and deepen their enthusiasm for the CFC 2012 Combined Federal Campaign Training Conference

4 Project Stages 2012 Combined Federal Campaign Training Conference Proof of Concept (summer 2010 – summer 2011) – Fall 2009 results – 18 campaigns reporting – Almost half the money pledged Expansion of Sample (fall 2011) – Fall 2009 results – 110 campaigns reporting – Over 70% of the money pledged Expansion to More CFC Years (winter 2011-12) – 2009, 2010 & 2011 results – Year over year comparison – Currently in progress
