8. In February 2009, Mr. Bennett successfully argued on behalf of Hawaii before the United States Supreme Court in Hawaii et al. v. Office of Hawaiian Affairs et al. Unanimously reversing a Hawaii Supreme Court decision, the Court held that a 1993 Congressional Apology Resolution did not strip the State of Hawaii of its sovereign authority to transfer public trust lands, and that the State of Hawaii holds absolute fee simple title to the public trust lands. Rhode Island attorney general Patrick lynch One of Patrick Lynch's first responsibilities as Attorney General was to oversee the criminal investigation of the February 20, 2003, Station nightclub fire in West Warwick. Attorney General Lynch has hung a plaque in his office with a quote from Spider-Man, "With great power comes great responsibility." Lynch said he got the inspiration for the plaque from his son, who said it before his inauguration in 2003
