-Rap music started in 1970. -The parental advisory sticker on cd’s was created because of rapper Ice- T’s lyrics. -Rap music is one of the biggest genres of music and one of the most influential. -There’s been recent studies saying that a fan of rap music is more likely to drink, use drugs, and engage in violence. -A lot of the most famous and highest selling artists also have the most violent and influential lyrics. -There are very few rappers that actually make songs that aren't violent and don’t have drug and sexual content.

This goes for and against rap music because it seems very unsafe to be a rapper. It also shows that music isn’t dangerous because only 2 of these rappers were even suspected to have been killed because of anything involving their music careers.
A well known rap beef between Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. that was called the east coast west coast beef. Tupac and Biggie were both murdered and it was suspected to be because of their music related beef. Neither case has been solved.

-americas youth is easily influenced. -Children have said they committed a crime because of rap music. -Most rap lyrics are violent and very influential.
-Rappers don’t make their lyrics how they are to try to influence children. -Rappers talk about what they’ve seen and done but some of their fans haven’t seen or done these things so why would they start now. -They’re just trying to use rap music as a scapegoat for crimes children commit.
