6 Support for the Capital Campaign (Ms. Heidi Douglas, Chair)  Mission: Support the School of Engineering’s efforts to endow scholarships, fellowships, professorships and infrastructure.  Objectives:  Develop roadmap for effective communication of program needs  Develop roadmpa for effective engagement of individuals and corporations  Develop roadmap to steward gift opportunities from individuals and corporations

7 Fostering Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Mr. K. Bouley, Chair)  Mission: Establish leadership for integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into our education & research activities.  Objectives:  Evaluation of existing policies and practices at UConn  Develop roadmap to effectively encourage spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship for students  Develop roadmap to promote innovation and entrepreneurship through faculty research  Develop roadmap for faculty and students to develop relevant IP and to increase commercialization  Develop roadmap to promote startup business formation by students and faculty

8 Fostering Collaboration with Industry Partners (Dr. M. Curtis, Chair)  Mission: Establish leadership in workforce development and meeting technical needs of industry partners.  Objectives:  Evaluation of existing policies and practices at UConn.  Develop roadmap to effectively integrate the academic and industry mission to provide added value  Develop effective engagement practices to identify topics of importance to industry  Develop roadmap for collaborative efforts in R&D through federal and state funding opportunities
