Venue Information The Canada Games Centre is the perfect place to host the 2015 National Championships. It has several different amenities that athletes, coaches, and families can take advantage of during their stay in Halifax. The following is a condensed list of what the Canada Games Centre has to offer: 3 FIBA sized basketball courts. (2 of 3 will be used for the competition floor with the last being the practice gym) Multiple Volleyball and Badminton courts 3 Pools including two waterslides that athletes can enjoy after the competition during the end of competition social. 6 lane indoor track Fitness Center Yoga Studio http://canadagamescentre.ca/
Transportation The Canada Games Center is a 28 minute drive from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is available at the airport. Accommodations: There are several choices for accommodations in the area. The following have blocks of rooms set aside for Rope Skipping Canada athletes and their families'. Dining: There are several restaurants near the Canada Games Centre for dinner arrangements such as: Smitty’s Boston Pizza Montana’s Jack Astor’s There is a Subway inside the Canada Games Centre. They are more than willing to accommodate all lunch requests from all teams. Costco and Sobey’s are also within a 5 minute drive.
Entertainment: Cineplex is within a 5 minute drive Halifax Shopping Centre is within a 10 minute drive Putting Edge (glow in the dark mini putt) is within a 5 minute drive There are several stores located right in Bayers Lake within a 5 minute drive such as: Wal Mart Old Navy Ardene Le Chateau
