2 William Shakespeare Born on April 23, 1616 His father was John Shakespeare His mother was Mary Arden William Shakespeare is born on Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, England

3 Works of arts Plays Romeo & Juliet Macbeth Hamlet William Shakespeare wrote 37 plays and 154 sonnets in his 52 years on earth.

4 William never published any of his original manuscripts. The manuscripts were found buried beneath the rubble of an ancient painting shop.

6 Fun Facts No one knows what William Shakespeare really looked like because not one portrait was painted of him when he was alive. In his will, Shakespeare left his wife Anne his ’’second best’’ bed.

7 William’s children William Shakespeare had three children. The first child was a girl named Susanna. The second two were twins named Juliet and Hamnet. Hamlet only lived to be eleven because he died of bubonic plague.
