GPA: 88%
Applicants are evaluated based on Academics, Leadership, Service, Awards, and Personal characteristics.
Applicants may apply their 2nd year of medical school, but still must meet all requirements

9. Membership Requirements
GPA: 80%
Lead 1 SSP Event in first year of induction
4 SSP Hours/Semester*
3rd and 4th Year members only need 4 hours/year

Event: This is a UNTHSC sponsored community event to promote health in the community as well as raise awareness of D.O. values.

Members are encouraged to seek out needs in the community then recruit volunteers to fulfill that need. This gives SSP a greater diversity in serving
the community.
This allows members to take an active role in the community and gives them an opportunity to lead an event that will change lives. It also gives our organization great diversity in serving the community as most students have experience/interest in serving different parts of the community.

Awarded on a semester basis for the member that has the most SSP service hours
