2 Institute of Process and Environmental Engineering Structure The Institute is structured into groups, covering the following areas of research and development: nonthermal waste treatment alternative fuels energy systems and simulations thermal waste treatment gasification heat exchangers experimental research and process control experimental research of combustion systems modelling, CFD and optimisation equipment design LCA and process integration

Close cooperation with other faculties of the BUT (mainly chemical, civil and information technology faculties), universities and institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
