1 Collect and Validate Data (Daily) Summarize and Validate Deliver Data Data Warehouse CUSTOMER BILLING CYCLE Day 1 Day 30 Day-after Green Button data retrieved during the billing cycle is not RQMD Customer billing occurs, data is VEEd 234567891011121314151617181920212223242526272829 RQMD available for previous billing cycle -Data goes through basic daily validations -Day-after data is stored in Data Warehouse -Day-after data is available via Green Button -Bill request triggers billing validations -Editing performed by human -Once account bills, electric meter interval data considered RQMD -RQMD overlays previous version of data in Data Warehouse -RQMD used for web tools such as Rate Analyzer IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Once account bills, SCE may rebill the customer in accordance with Rule 17 guidelines. If rebill involves a change in usage, the electric meter interval data will be adjusted, and the customer billing process will trigger the VEE process to again occur. This new version of RQMD will overlay any previous versions of RQMD stored in the Data Warehouse. High-Level Overview of SCE Data Validation Process 1

2 Consider the Following Scenario… RESULT: Days 1-30 are VEEd, Days 31-34 are not, however there is no flag currently on Green Button data to differentiate between the two While SCE does have RQMD for interval-billed accounts, SCE does not currently provide this data in fulfillment of the CISR Form 14-796 nor the CISR Form 14-929. SCE plans to make the data available via the CISR-DRP Form 14-941, and have included this in the scope of the cost recovery application for Rule 24. 2 On Day 35, Green Button data is downloaded for the period of Days 1-34

3 CISR-DRP Fulfillment Options SCENARIO: CISR-DRP is submitted after Rule 24 application approval and prior to implementation of system automation SCE can fulfill the data points which are currently offered under the existing CISR Forms, including: A.1.1: Up to 1 year of historical electric meter interval data (equivalent to Option 5 of the CISR Form 14-796 or to CISR Form 14- 929) B.2: Billing history and all electric meter usage data for bill calculation for all my account(s), as specified herein, regarding electric utility services furnished by the Utility (equivalent to Option 1 of the CISR Form 14-796) C.2: Access to next day electric meter interval data (equivalent to CISR Form 14-929) 3
