 What is the Legal Hold?  What is the objective of Legal Hold?  What is the need of Legal Hold?  How Legal Hold came existence?  How our System overcomes the existing System?  Project Development Approach.  Technology used in our Project.  Implemented Current System  System Design.  Limitation of our System.  Future Enhancement.

 A legal hold is a process which an organization uses to preserve all forms of relevant information when litigation is reasonably anticipated.. litigation

 An organization has a duty to preserve relevant information when it learns, or reasonably should have learned of pending or threatened litigation, or of a regulatory investigation.  In order to comply with its preservation obligations, the organization should inform records custodians of the respective custodian’s duty to preserve relevant information.

 The organization should provide instructions for doing so. This traditionally cumbersome process may be automated with workflow to ensure all custodians receive a formal notice and agree to its terms.

 When a person or, in our case, a corporation learns that they have been sued or that they have reason to believe they will be sued.  When the duty arises, a person or corporation is required to act reasonably to preserve evidence, physical and electronic, that is potentially relevant evidence.  At that time the corporation need this type of system..

 Information Governance is a new idea in the corporate structure. The most common definition is that Information Governance help organizations manage corporate risk, improve operational efficiency, and achieve compliance with state and federal regulations and laws governing how corporations managed their information.

Study of Existing System  In this Existing System all process done manually. The Advocate meet manually to the custodian and asked question which is related to Current Hold. The Custodian give the answer of the asked question by the advocate.  If the Advocate Required Some ESI Recourse or want to check data of the Custodian then that all process perform manually. How our System overcomes the existing System?

Limitation of Existing System Major drawbacks of the current systems are:  In the Existing System all process is done manually like using email service.set Question bank, set Custodian that all process done manually.  More Time-Consuming Process.

Benefits of our System  In our system software include all task which is done manually in existing System.  Less time consuming then the existing System.  Less overhead than the existing System.

Waterfall Model  The waterfall model is also called as ‘linear- sequential model’ or ‘classic life cycle model’. It is the oldest software paradigm. This model suggests a systematic, sequential approach to software development.  The software development starts with requirements gathering phase. Then progresses through analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance.

 In our System the process for taking backup is done manually or by using other System Software.

 In the Future we will include which type of functionality that is also support getting backup automatically by sending one request for particular ESI resources.
