To enter a sample number: a.Depress the (N) key – a number will display. b.Enter new number (1 – 6 figures) using keypad – display will blink. c.Depress the (ENT) key to validate. 14Start stirrer by depressing “-O-” key. 15Start test by depressing ON key. 16Test will end when ball drop is detected – an audible alarm will sound and display will blink. 17 Press “ALA” key to silence alarm. IMPORTANT: At test end, “ALA” key must be depressed to store data. If “OFF” key is pressed to silence alarm, data will be lost and will not be retrievable. 18Record temperature reading from display screen. 19Clean test components with toluene while still warm. CAUTION: Allow beaker to cool before removing from heating plate. Note: This procedure is only valid at the time of printing. The control version can be found on the Meraux Refinery intranet.
